Fish die off in the Yazoo Diversion Canal
City Front at the Yazoo River Diversion Canal is seeing a large number of dead fish on the bank and in the water.
The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Environmental Quality have been contacted to investigate the cause.
A representative at the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks indicates that it most likely has to do with low oxygen in the water, but an investigation must be undertaken to determine the actual cause.
