Fisher, Ellis and King are making an impact on Lady Eagles’ success

Porter’s Chapel Academy girls basketball head coach Casey Fisher has the Lady Eagles on the right path to a winning season so far.
The Lady Eagles started the season with a loss against North Sunflower Academy but Fisher, along with his assistant coaches Chandler Ellis and DeAndre King, has now led the ladies to a 10-2 record.
Fisher is in his first year as head coach of the Lady Eagles and has already made a great impact on the team.
Although Fisher has a great coaching style which consists of holding the ladies to high standards, he also has a strong starting lineup which is a big key to his team’s success. Yakia Burns is the Lady Eagles’ lead scorer, averaging more than 30 points per game under Fisher’s leadership.
Each of the PCA basketball staff members has a great history of training athletes just as they are doing today. Chandler has led the PCA softball team to greatness over the years, while King has coached at Vicksburg Junior High School that participated in many championships, and Fisher coached overseas in the early 1990s.
The Lady Eagles are looking to expand their success Monday when they participate in the PCA Christmas Tournament.
