Five auto burglaries reported over the weekend

Vicksburg police responded to numerous reports of auto burglaries between Friday, June 11, and Sunday, June 13.

At 8:11 a.m. Friday, someone reportedly went into an unlocked 2019 GMC Arcadia parked in the 1600 block of Chambers Street and stole a key.  Just before 1 p.m., officers took another report of an unlocked vehicle being burglarized.  This time it was $100 missing from the center console of a 2017 Ford Fusion in the 500 block of Bazinsky Road.  Then, at around mid-night, a report was taken at the North Parking Garage on Mulberry Street, where someone had pried open the passenger door of a 2015 GMC Sierra and stole a .22 caliber rifle and a .22 caliber pistol, each valued at around $200.

On Saturday, officers responded to Pemberton Boulevard at 10:42 a.m. where it was reported that someone broke into a 2015 Toyota Corolla and stole a .25 caliber Beretta pistol from the center console.

At 7 a.m. Sunday morning, officers took another report of an unlocked vehicle burglary on South Street, where Air Pods were missing from the center console of a Nissan Rouge.
