Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the college basketball season was cut short and teams were forced to go into the offseason early. Mississippi State University’s basketball season also ended early, but now they will have to prepare for the next season without five players who decided to transfer from the school.

MSU players Devin Butts, Elias King, Prince Oduro, KeyShawn Feazell and E.J. Datcher have all decided to take their talents elsewhere next season. SEC player of the year Reggie Perry is also expected to leave the team for the upcoming NBA Draft.

MSU finished the season with a 20-11 record under head coach Ben Howland, who will be forced to play without some key players next season.

It is not clear on why this many players are leaving the team, yet, but the Bulldogs key loss will be Perry who made a huge impact for the team.
