Five injured following crash on Highway 61 South

Five people were injured following a crash on Highway 61 South.

Saturday evening, around 8 p.m., a collision occurred on Highway 61 south in the northbound lane around the county line and left five individuals with injuries. Three out of five of the injured were transported by ambulance for treatment.

The collision left one vehicle in the ditch and another crushed beside the roadway.  Traffic around the scene has slowed, backing up traffic for about a mile.

Traffic in the southbound lane is flowing smoothly but expect delays if traveling northbound.
