Flames claim Warren County home

Published

on

A Warren County home was completely lost to flames Friday afternoon.

Just before 3 p.m., Warren County firefighters were alerted to a structure fire in the 3000 block of Jeff Davis Road. Units with Fisher Ferry and LeTourneau Volunteer Fire Departments quickly arrived on scene.

The engulfed home was said to have been unoccupied for some time, but still is maintained. One of the homeowners stated she was working around the property and thought she had seen smoke from the area, but didn’t pay much attention at first. Once the flames spread and firefighters were called, the structure was fully involved.

Thanks to the speedy response of the firefighters, the flames were able to be contained before spreading and endangering other structures or surrounding foliage.

Robert Whitten with Warren County Fisher Ferry Fire Service was the incident commander on scene. Engines 302 and 602 from LeTourneau and Engine 303 from Fisher Ferry responded to the call.

No injuries were reported, however the home was a complete loss.
