Flames from vehicle fire sets second vehicle ablaze in Bovina (Video)

A vehicle fire set a second vehicle ablaze, threatening nearby structures in Bovina off of Tiffentown Road.
Deputy David Culbertson was the first to arrive on the scene. According to Sherriff Martin Pace, Deputy Cullbertson was starting his shift when he noticed smoke and immediately headed to the fire. When he arrived, one vehicle was fully involved, the other was somewhat involved.
FireBoss Jerry Briggs was also there. When asked what caused the fire, Sherriff Pace joked, “well, what we know is that the fire started off really small, and then it got really big.” FireBoss Briggs confirmed, “It’s too early to tell what caused the fire right now. It’s currently under investigation.”
Firefighter Chuck Tate stated, “we got a call, had one vehicle fire threatening the structure. It was out pretty fast, it’s just the getting there part that can take time. Other than the two vehicles, a stroller was damaged but we made sure we maintained the fire and the structure never caught.”
Fire engines Bovina 402 and Culkin 209 were there along with VPD, the Sherriff’s Department, and Warren County Emergency Services. No injuries were sustained.
