Flashes defeated Copiah Academy 9-8 on Tuesday

St. Aloysius picked up a 9-8 walk-off win against Copiah Academy on Tuesday night.

A single by Keller Bradley put the Flashes on the board first in the second but Copiah would tie the game at one in the top of the third. Walt Andrews would respond for St. Al by bringing in two runs from a single as they took the 3-1 lead heading into the fourth.

Late in the game, the Flashes were up 4-3 but Copiah picked up three runs to take the 6-4 lead. A ground out by Carson Smith along with a run by Bradley would tie thing at six, heading into the seventh.

A walk and a sacrifice by Copiah gave them a two-run lead until two walks by the Flashes tied the game at eight before Smith singled as Damien Reeves drove in the run to win 9-8.

Smith and Andrews had two hits and two RBIs while Barrett Shows went 2 for 4 at the plate. Bradley also had two hits while Cole Autrey, Matthew Pitre and Conner Gaul all had a hit.

Pitre struck out five in the win.
