The Flashes finished their season off with an impressive 6-1 record.

The Flashes are made up of Vicksburg Catholic School fourth through sixth graders who played against other teams from private or Catholic schools in the surrounding area. The team was led by head coach Kacy Presley, his first time coaching a team two years in a row.

“One of the most memorable moments on the field is when quarterback Sadler Lambiotte handed off to Robert Lee who rushed for a 96 yard touchdown run,” Presley said.

The Flashes ran a 3-4 defense, which helped them stop a lot of big passes attempted by their defenders. The team was stacked on defense with good players including Nathaniel Moore and Caden Cole who made big plays throughout the season, while Pierson Smith ran the ball mostly for the offense.

The team only suffered one loss this season, to Washington School.

Presley credits a lot of the team’s success to his assistant coaches: Mike McMillin, Steve Smith, Allen Lyons and Jeff Davidson.
