Flashes took a 12-11 loss to Cathedral on Friday
St. Aloysius baseball team came up short on Friday in a 12-11 loss to Cathedral.
The score was tied at one after a single from Matthew Pitre. By the fourth inning, Cathedral had a 5-1 lead.
After a double from Carson Smith and an RBI by M.Hargrave, the Flashes found themselves down just 5-6.
The Green Waves managed to grab six runs in the sixth inning while Cole Autrey and Pitre both got hits that brought in three runs.
The Flashes didn’t allow any runs in the seventh while Keller Bradley scored off a wild pitch and Pitre singled that brought in two runs to put the game at 12-11 with St. Al trailing.
The Flashes couldn’t pull out the last run in the close loss.
Pitre had three hits with five RBIs and Smith went 3 for 5 at the plate. Autrey and Bradley both had one hit.
Walt Andrews, Bradley and Smith all had two strikeouts while Pitre struck out three.
The Flashes will host ACCS on Tuesday.
