Flashes took a 6-5 loss to Cathedral in a close match on Wednesday
St. Aloysius baseball team loss a close 6-5 game against Cathedral on Senior Night on Wednesday.
Cathedral for the first score in the second inning but the Flashes quickly responded in the third when Carter Magee sacrificed, which led to Carson Smith getting the score.
Cole Autrey and Conner Gaul both got big hits in the second to help get the Flashes a 3-1 lead.
Cathedral managed score in the fourth but a profitable fifth inning tied the game at five after RBIs by Adam Francisco and Autrey.
After a single by Tanner Wimberly, Â Cathedral took the 6-5 win.
Francisco went 4 for 4 at the plate, along with one RBI and two scores. Autrey went 2 for 4 with two RBIs. Matthew Pitre and Magee each had one hit on the night. Francisco struck out four batters on the and Pitre struck out two.
St. Al will travel to face Cathedral again on Friday in a double header.
