Food drive underway at Port Gibson

VDN caught up with Claiborne County Sheriff Edward Goods at the Port Gibson Fairgrounds where a very popular event is taking place.

The Port Gibson Fairgrounds is host to food box giveaways Saturday morning, which Sheriff Goods has been a part of for the past couple of months.

“So this is what we’ve been doing every three weeks… giving back to the community,” stated Goods.

Food boxes have been given to those in need by the sheriff, his staff and inmates.

The drive will continue until the food is gone. As of the initial reporting, five pallets of food remain.
