The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges has decided that the 2020 football season will begin Oct 1.
MACC, made up of presidents of the 15 community colleges in Mississippi, voted Friday to delay the season for a few weeks instead of pushing it back to the spring or canceling the season altogether.
The season will have six regular season games with only divisional play and will conclude with a playoff.
Because COVID-19 cases are continuing to rise in the state, MACC will continue to monitor athletes closely to reduce the spread of the virus.See a typo? Report it here.
