Former Alcorn State University Head Football Coach Ernest Collins Jr. has now accepted a head coaching job at a high school in Colorado.

Collins recently accepted a job at Gateway High School in Aurora, Colorado last month as the school made the announcement on their Twitter page.

Collins was the head coach of the Braves from 2009-2010 where he finished with a 8-12 record in the two seasons. He went on to become the head coach of the University of Northern Colorado until the end of 2019.

Collins will now take over GHS who went 5-4 last season. He will begin the process of turning them into a successful program with his many years of coaching experience on the collegiate level.
