Former Clinton High star Cam Akers heads to the NFL draft
Former Clinton High School football star Cam Akers has announced that he will enter the NFL 2020 draft instead of playing his senior year with Florida State University.

Akers, a junior running back, will not play in Florida State’s Sun Bowl as he prepares to enter the pros. He has been the starting running back for the past three seasons at Florida State where he currently has 1,144 rushing yards this season along with 14 touchdowns.
Before playing for Florida State, Akers was the star quarterback at Clinton High School where he threw for 31 touchdowns and rushed for 2,105 yards, helping the Arrows win the state championship in 2016.
