Former Vicksburg High School football player Kordell Watts helped the University of West Alabama to a 27-17 victory over Limestone on Saturday.

Watts started on the offensive line for the Tigers where he did a great job at protecting both the quarterback and running back in the season opener that led to a big win.

With the help of Watts’ great aggressive blocking, UWA was able to rack up a total of 515 yards on Saturday. He was also a part of the 2019 team that averaged over 400 yards per game.

Watts is a 2017 graduate of VHS where he played under head coach Marcus Rogers.

Watts and UWA will finish the two-game spring season this Saturday against Savanna State in Mobile, Alabama.
