Former Port Gibson High School football players made an impact in their college games

Two Port Gibson natives Myron Stewart and Jacory Rankin both contributed to their college football teams over the weekend.

Rankin caught two passes for Mississippi Valley State University where he racked up 28 yards in the 58-13 loss the Stephen F. Austin.

Grambling State’s Stewart had four tackles for the Tigers where one was for loss in the 45-0 loss to Houston on Saturday.

Both Stewart and Rankin are graduates of Port Gibson High School where they were one teammates.
