Former St. Aloysius football player Drake Dorbeck opts out of 2020 NFL season

Vicksburg native and former University of Southern Mississippi star football player Drake Dorbeck has decided to opt out of the 2020 NFL season.
The Cleveland Browns announced at the end of July that two of their players, Dorbeck and Drew Forbes, decided not to play this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All told, five Cleveland Browns opted out, including Colby Gossett, Malcolm Pridgeon and Andrew Billings.
Dorbeck, a former St. Aloysius standout, signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Browns a few months ago. His teammate DeMichael Harris recently joined the practice squad of the Indianapolis Colts.
Dorbeck played college football at USM under former head coach Jay Hopson, helping them to many victories as a Golden Eagle.
