Former St. Aloysius player De’Michael Harris wins Male Athlete of the Year award

Former St. Aloysius football talent and University of Southern Mississippi player De’Michael Harris won a big award Sunday for his athletic success.
Harris received an Eagle Award from Southern Miss for Male Student Athlete of the Year.
Harris recently finished his second season at USM where he played running back and wide receiver. He finished the 2019 season with 346 receiving yards and three touchdowns, along with 541 rushing yards and five touchdowns, helping USM to a bowl game.
In his junior year at St. Aloysius in 2014, Harris rushed for 2,064 yards and 24 touchdowns and helped the Flashes reach the Championship Game.
Before Harris attended USM, he was an outstanding player at Hinds Community College for two years. He committed to USM after the 2017 season with Hinds.
Harris is coached by Vicksburg native Jay Hopson, head coach at USM.
