Former Vicksburg High baseball standout Chris Prentiss has transferred to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock to play baseball.

Prentiss spent the last few years playing ball at Jackson State University where he helped the Tigers to many victories over the years just as he did at VHS. He is now listed as a graduate student on UA Little Rock’s team roster which means he will not have to sit out a season before he can play.

Prentiss saw action in 54 games with the Tigers and batted .365. Last season he batted .322 and scored 12 runs before the season came to an early end after 15 games due to COVID-19.
