Former Warren Central football player finishes his best collegiate year

Former Warren Central cornerback Chris Stamps recently finished his best college football season at Middle Tennessee States University.
Stamps is a 2015 graduate of Warren Central High School where led the Vikings to a 9-3 season during his senior year. He racked up 25 tackles and three interceptions, and was rated a 4-star defensive back by 247 sports.
Stamps earned a scholarship to Mississippi State University in 2015 where he was redshirted in his freshman year and played in nine games in the 2016 season.
After transferring to Northwest Mississippi Community College in 2017, Stamps led his team to a 8-3 record while being ranked No. 7 nationally. Stamps had a total of 34 tackles, two forced fumbles, and an interception.
The next season in 2018, he transferred to Middle Tennessee State University where he played in all 14 games.
His senior 2019 season would be the best for Stamps even though he missed all of spring practice recovering from an injury. He still managed to finish the season with 29 tackles, four pass break ups, and one interception.
Stamps has made a major impact on the football field with every team that he played with, starting with his years at as a Viking at Warren Central.
