Former Warren Central High School baseball player Carlisle Koestler pitched two innings for Mississippi State University on Tuesday to help the Bulldogs secure a 18-10 win over Arkansas State.

Koestler was able to strike out three batters in his time on the mound, where he also allowed five hits.

Koestler is a 2014 graduate of Warren Central, where he was a star football and baseball player for the Vikings. He went on to play baseball at Hinds Community College in Southeast Louisiana before landing at MSU in 2020.

Koestler is now a graduate student at MSU, where he is in his final collegiate season. He will help the Bulldogs against rivals Ole Miss on Saturday at 2 p.m.
