Former WC star Larry Warner now coaching at University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff

Former Warren Central High School star running back Larry Warner is now coaching at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
Warner previously spent the last three years coaching at the University of South Alabama, where he served as the running backs coach for the Jaguars. He was hired in South Alabama by his former Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College coach Steve Campbell, who was serving as head coach at the time.
Warner is a 2005 graduate of WC where he rushed for over 1,800 yards in his senior season, which led the Vikings to a 10-1 record, and he once scored a 99-yard touchdown.
He went on to star at MGCCC and the University of Southern Illinois before getting into coaching.
Over his career, Warner has coached at the University of Southern Illinois, Central Arkansas, the University of South Alabama and now UAPB.
Warner, who is now the running backs coach at UAPB, recently won his first game at his new school as the Golden Lions defeated Southern University 33-30 on Saturday.
Warner is off to a good start with his new team. Vicksburg Daily News will keep everyone updated on Warner’s success.
