Former WC player Demarcus Jones led USM in receiving Saturday
Former Warren Central star football player Demarcus Jones had an outstanding performance Saturday for the University of Southern Mississippi.
Jones set a team high of 11 catches and 77 yards in the loss against Tulane. He led the team in receiving yards as well, and he is becoming an impact player for the Golden Eagles.
Jones graduated from WC in 2017. From there, he went on to play at Northwest Mississippi Community College where he had over 1,000 all-purpose yards in the 2019 season.
Jones will be leading the Golden Eagles on the field Saturday, Oct. 3, as they face North Texas at 6:30 p.m.
