Former WC powerlifter Davenport takes first place in Savannah

Former Warren Central power lifter Jalen Davenport came in first place in his Blue Mountain College Powerliftimg meet Saturday in Savannah, Georgia.

Davenport, who lifts in the 230 pound weight class, was able to squat 645 pounds, bench press 325, and deadlift 630 to come in first place in the meet. He lifted a total of 1,600 pounds

Davenport signed with Blue Mountain this summer after receiving an athletic scholarship. He continues to improve during his freshman year.
