Dominique Caldwell has announced she will be continuing her basketball career at Tougaloo College.

“I felt like I needed to be closer to home,” Caldwell said. “Being so far away made it kind of difficult to play especially since we couldn’t play in front of a crowd but I have a big support system here now that I’m closer.”

Caldwell spent last season playing for Talladega College. Before that, she spent two years starring for Northeast Mississippi Community College where she averaged 8.1 points per game, 3.7 assists and 2.7 steals per game in her final season.

The former Warren Central standout graduated in 2018 and joined the Lady Vikings at the quarterfinals.

Tougaloo’s season will begin next month. Caldwell is automatically eligible to play basketball and will be at the point guard position.

“I’m ready to play and show what I can do on the court and I’m excited to play with the new group that I am with,” Caldwell said.
