Four charged in connection with Friday’s shooting
Four individuals appeared in court Monday on charges connected to the shooting incident on Leticia Street Friday, May 21. Chad Ross and Makayla Harris, who were arrested on Friday, and two other women who were taken into custody on Monday and charged with accessory after the fact for their role in assisting the accused shooter, Chad Ross.
Chadderick Ross, 24, and Makayla Harris, 22, appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court Monday, May 24, in connection with the shooting of 21-year-old Nicholas Murray on Friday, May 21. Murray was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center with gunshot wounds in his chest and arm. Ross and Harris were arrested within an hour of the shooting incident by Vicksburg Police.
Ross was charged with aggravated assault and received a $250,00 bond. Harris was charged with accessory after the fact and received a $150,000 bond.
Melissa Amos, 43, and Dillette Howard, 38, were both arrested Monday and charged with accessory after the fact. Judge Penny Lawson assigned both women a $150,00 bond.
