Four Meadowvale Drive suspects appeared in court today for bond hearings
Four men involved in an altercation in the 300 block of Meadowvale Drive on Monday, Dec. 16, 2019, appeared before Judge Angela Carpenter in Vicksburg Municipal Court this morning, Dec. 18, where she set their bonds. All four were bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
Jeremy Jermaine Johnson, 31, was charged with one count of felony possession of marijuana and one count of aggravated assault. His bond was set at $55,000.
Johnson resided in the house where officers responded to a call of shots fired. According to Vicksburg Police, Johnson found three men in his home, shot one of them, Jamaris Demond McDaniel, and left the scene before police arrived.
McDaniel’s injury was not serious. He was treated and released to police custody.
The three men who had entered the house, McDaniel, 19, Lamar Dewayne Gray Jr., 18, and Demond Kentrell Thomas, 18, were each charged with one count of conspiracy to commit a crime and one count of burglary of a dwelling. Their bonds were set at $80,000 each.
