Free drive-through COVID-19 testing in Vicksburg today

A one-day COVID-19 coronavirus drive-through testing site will be open from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. today at Pemberton Square Mall in Vicksburg.

Tests are free and by appointment only and will be completed only for those who are symptomatic and/or at high risk of infection.

To schedule a test, you must be pre-screened. The quickest way to complete the screening is to use the C Spire Health UMMC Virtual COVID-19 Triage app, available for Apple or Android smartphones. Those without smartphones can call 601-469-7200.

Tests will be completed using a nasal swab while patients remain in their vehicles. The University of Mississippi Medical Center and the Mississippi State Health Department are staffing the site.

A second mobile site is available today in Greenwood at the Leflore County Civic Center.
