Freetown Road closed for bridge replacement
Motorists who regularly travel on Freetown Road between Grey Line Drive and Tucker Road in Warren County should make plans to take an alternative route for the next several weeks.
Work began yesterday, Jan. 20, to replace the bridge just northeast of Grey Line Road.
Funded through the state’s Emergency Road and Bridge Repair Fund, Columbia, Miss., based TL Wallace Construction was awarded the $1.54 million dollar project. The fund was put into place by the state legislature during the 2018 special session to revitalize public roads and bridges across the state.
The contract allows up to 120 days for construction.
