An amazing story of a feline’s long journey from Birmingham, Alabama to southern Nevada has captured the hearts of many.

Raven, a beloved cat that had been in Tracy Cost’s care since she was a few days old, disappeared from her home in December 2021. Despite numerous searches, Raven was nowhere to be found, leaving Cost devastated.

However, nearly 2,000 miles away, Raven was discovered by Elizabeth McGloin in her North Las Vegas neighborhood. McGloin, aware that someone somewhere was missing their cat, checked for a microchip and was hopeful that it would lead to a quick reunion. But instead, she discovered that Raven’s journey home would be a long and winding one, lasting approximately 26 hours.

Cost was overjoyed when she received the news that Raven was alive and well. However, both Cost and McGloin were left wondering how Raven had managed to make such a journey. Cost suggested that Raven may have hitched a ride from a nearby truck stop, while McGloin noticed that Raven’s ear appeared to have been burned, possibly from being in an engine.

Now, the focus is on bringing Raven back home to Alabama. Cost and McGloin are hoping that organizations or individuals can help with transport so that Raven can be reunited with her family.

This incredible story of a cat’s amazing journey has touched the hearts of many and serves as a reminder of the special bond between humans and their pets.
