Fultz ready for a big season in her third year at Grambling

After two progressive years playing Division 1 softball, former Warren Central standout Cocoa Fultz is prepared to head into her third year at Grambling State University.
Fultz, a redshirt junior, brought in 27 hits last season, along with two home runs, 20 RBIs, two home runs and a .333 batting average.
The middle infielder is looking forward to Grambling being better than last season. They start taking the field next week.
“We have a lot of talent this season and we gained many players that we didn’t have last year so I feel that it’s gonna be a real good year,” Fultz said.
During her time at Grambling, Fultz has improved each season and has no signs of slowing down.
“Teams are going to try to learn how you play but I’ve been constantly working hard and I know I will be a lot stronger this year,” Fultz said.
Fultz and the Tigers will kick their season off next Friday in her hometown of Vicksburg where they will play in the River City Classic against Tennessee State.
“I’m just ready bro help my teammates in any aspect of the game that I can,”
