Funeral arrangements announced for slain Meridian officer Kennis Croom

Funeral arrangements for Meridian Police officer Kennis Croom have been announced. Officer Croom lost his life in the line of duty on Thursday.

The memorial service will take place on Thursday, June 16 at 1 p.m. at the Meridian High School gymnasium located at 2320 32nd Street in Meridian.

A viewing will take place on Friday, June 17 from noon to 4 p.m. at Northport Funeral & Cremation Service located at 5405 Watermelon Road in Northport, Alabama. At 6 p.m., an Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Omega Ceremony will take place at the same location.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, June 18, at Shelton State Community College located at 9500 Old Greensboro road in Tascaloosa, Alabama.

Lie In State will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Service will begin at 1 p.m. Internment will be at Memory Hill Gardens located at 2200 Skyland Boulevard East in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
