Gaines could take the Rockets to the top

YMCA League Rockets JT Gaines.

The two top-ranked youth football teams will face off at Sports Force Parks Thursday at 6 p.m., when the Rockets take on The Outsiders in a heated battle for first place.

The teams met two weeks ago when The Outsiders star quarterback Nash Morgan was out, which forced wide receiver Tristan Jamison to step in at quarterback. Morgan leads his team and the league in touchdowns while also being the lead tackler for The Outsiders.

The Rockets JT Gaines controlled most of the offense in their last game, running for more than 150 yards and two touchdowns. Gaines has become a huge threat in the YMCA Football League with his strength and quickness, which has helped his team to a 5-0 season so far. Gaines has played quarterback, running back and wide receiver all season to help the Rockets become the best team in the league.

The Rockets won the game a couple of weeks ago 12-6 against The Outsiders, but, with Morgan back in the game tomorrow, this will be a huge chance for The Outsiders to get revenge.

Morgan and Gaines are two of the best players in the league, and they are competing for the league MVP. Their teams are competing to take home the league championship this year. The winner of tomorrow’s game will be ranked No. 1, and they will have the best chance at becoming the 2019 YMCA champions.
