Gaines leads the Sonics to a perfect season

The Sonics finished their basketball season undefeated in the fifth and sixth-grade league. They took down the Gators 20-13 in the championship game on Saturday

Lead scorer J.T Gaines led the Sonics with nine points to his second basketball championship. In 2018, Gaines led the Gators to an 8-0 championship season in the third and fourth-grade league.

DeJarius Brown led the Gators with nine points but it wasn’t good enough to get past the Sonics.

Brown and Gaines were on the same undefeated football team last season, and they also played together on the championship 2018 Gators basketball team two years ago.

The Sonics finished the year 11-0  under head coach Jabari McDaniel and assistant coach Tommy Curtis.
