Gaines scored 13 points for the Gators Thursday

Vicksburg Junior High School seventh-grade basketball player Jermaine Gaines Jr. had a outstanding performance last Thursday as he helped the Gators beat the Warren Central Vikings 20-18.

Gaines scored 13 points and led his team in the victory over their crosstown rivals. He also came up with some big steals in the game that ended up resulting in points for the Gators.

The victory for the Gators puts them at 1-0 for the season. With players such as Gaines, VJHS can look forward to many more wins.
