Country mega-star Garth Brooks literally rocked the house in a sold out performance at LSU’s Tiger Stadium on Saturday night.

Over 120,000 excited fans packed into the stadium to enjoy the show. About 17 songs into the set, Brooks asked the question they’d been waiting for.

“I have to ask you, Baton Rouge, is it time?”

Brooks’ hit song “Callin’ Baton Rouge” is a favorite for locals and LSU fans, known belt out the song before kickoff at Tiger football games.  Saturday was the first time the tune was performed live in Death Valley, though, and the crowd’s reaction was a legendary as the songwriter himself.

A seismograph that was set up in nearby Nicholson Hall registered roaring crowd as a small earthquake.

“That was even better than I could have ever dreamed it could be,” Brooks said when the song was done.
