Gas Line Explodes Due to One Vehicle Accident

Emergency crews responded to a onc-car accident at Clinton Boulevard and Flag Chapel Road in Jackson last night around 10 p.m.

Jackson firefighters said one person was injured when the wreck ruptured a gas line and caused an explosion.

The vehicle caught fire, and the fire was fed by the gas. Flames were shooting into the air.

Crews were on the scene working to shut off the gas line. Jackson firefighters were spraying water onto a nearby building to keep it from catching fire.

The male driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

There were no evacuations ordered for businesses or residents in the area.
