Gas line leak at Pemberton Plaza

A gas line was ruptured at Pemberton Plaza while crews were working on drainage improvements in the area.

Equipment was turned off and the immediate area cleared after a gas line was broken during construction.

There does not seem to be an immediate threat to the area. However, caution in the area is advised. Businesses at the Plaza are still open.

This is the third gas leak reported in Vicksburg today. Earlier, a gas line was ruptured twice at Drummond and Division Streets as crews were working to install fiber optic cables.
