Gaston named as Conference USA Player of the Week

Former Warren Central basketball star Amber Gaston has been named as the Conference USA Player of the Week.

“I’m so incredibly proud of Amber! She has been working so hard and this is a testament to the hours she has put in from the offseason up until now,” said head coach Jennifer Sullivan in a school statement. “I can’t wait for her to make noise in the league this season while being a leader on and off the court.”

Gaton scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds against Florida Memorial last Tuesday in a 71-63 win.

Gaston currently plays for Florida Atlantic University.
