Gators win their fourth game in a row with a 7-5 victory over Raymond

Two big innings and 12 stolen bases helped Vicksburg’s baseball team clinch a 7-5 win over Raymond on Saturday.
After a hit and a pop fly, the Rangers were up 2-0 in the first inning.
The Gators responded in the second with a sacrifice play to centerfield by Kealon Bass with Rashad McCroy running in for one. VHS took a 3-2 lead after a walk and a RBI by Mincer Minor IV with Braylon Green running in for the score.
The Gators were able to maintain the lead in the third inning with Connor Harrigill’s stolen base and score. Mikey Johnson’s left-field single and Bass and Green walking in for one score each.
Johnson struck out four batters in the first three innings for VHS, Bass struck out three, and Kaleb Doss closed out the night on the mound.
Johnson, Bass, McCroy, and Harrigill each got a hit for the Gators. Johnson also had two RBIs.
