Gilmore hit the winning shot to help Madison(Tallulah)defeat Delhi Charter

Shamardrenae Gilmore knocked down the final shot to give Madison High School a 47-46 win over Delhi Charter.

“It felt good hitting the game winning shot because I thought we were gonna lose but we played good defense and won the game,” Gilmore said.

The Lady Jaguars took a 9-5 lead in the first quarter after a 3-pointer by D.White.

By halftime, Madison trailed 20-19 after K.Thomas and D.Bayonne helped the Lady Gators get back into the game.

Coming out of halftime, P. Fountain knocked down two 3-pointers to help the Jaguars go up 39-33 heading into the final quarter of play.

Madison and DC went back and forth all night where the game was eventually tied at 45 when Gilmore tossed up the shot to give the Jaguars the win.

White and Fountain both led Madison with 10 points each while DL White added nine points. M. Williams put up six points while Gilmore and T. Jackson both had four. J. Tillman scored three in the win.

On the Gators side, K.Thomas dropped 17 points and Bayonne put up 10. D.Quillen also scored nine points.
