Glen Douglas Ezell, 1946 – 2022

On the afternoon of Mar. 14, Glen Douglas Ezell entered eternal rest while at home and surrounded by his loving family. He was 75 years old. Born in Delhi, Louisiana to Mose and Mildred Ezell, he was married to the love of his life, Sally, for 57 years. He called Vicksburg his home for over 50 years and retired from Cooper Lighting after 45 years of service.

Glen was a long-time member of Highland Baptist Church where he spent many years serving as an ordained Deacon and Sunday School teacher. He loved listening to gospel music, watching sports and traveling. His grandchildren were the pride and joy of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Ezell, son Todd Ezell (Terri) of Denham Springs, Louisiana, daughter Taffie Causey (Marty) of Vicksburg, Mississippi, sisters Mary Fore and Carolyn Swoope (Frank), grandchildren Rachael and Brett Causey, Darah Bueche, and Meagan Ezell.

In celebration of Glen’s life, a visitation will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, Mar. 18. Services will begin at 11 a.m. following the visitation. Interment is 2 p.m. at Faith Memorial Park Cemetery in Delhi, Louisiana.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Jones, Jim Brannon, Charlie Bennett, David Pugh, Lee Fore and Marty Causey. Honorary pallbearers include Joan White, Mickey Simmons, Keith Gordon and the Encouragers Sunday School Class.

In lieu of flowers, an expression of sympathy can be made to Highland Baptist Church Hope Center.
