God’s Appointed People Ministries invites those in need to monthly food drive

God’s Appointed People Ministries (GAPM) is informing residents of Warren County and surrounding areas of its monthly food drive and emergency food bank.

GAPM is located at 100 Fisher Ferry Rd. Vicksburg MS has been providing critical food assistance to families in need and continues to feed many in the area.

“This past month we fed over 185 families in addition provided Covid-19 and Monkeypox Vaccinations,” said Executive Director of GAPM, Kimberly Stevens

To help address this growing need, GAPM is holding a monthly food drive every last Friday of the month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vaccinations are provided from 10 a.m. to noon on these days as well. Should anyone need an emergency food box they can give them a call. The food drive provides an opportunity for community members to donate non-perishable food items, hygiene products and other essentials that will go directly to those in need.

GAPM is also looking for volunteers to help with the food drive and emergency food bank. “We LOVE VOLUNTEERS!!” said Stevens. Anyone choosing to volunteer can give Pastor Pastor James Bowman or Kimberly Stevens a call at 601-501-1223.

GAPM also provides book bags for children in need that are stuffed with supplies.
