According to the MS Levee board, the Mississippi River seems to have crested and holding flat.

The river is expected to fall below flood stage at Arkansas City and Greenville by sometime Monday, with it falling below flood stage in Vicksburg at some point next week.

The Corps predicts the backwater will crest somewhere between 91.5 feet and 92 feet before the gates re-open next week. The Steele Bayou structure gates were closed on Monday, March 15.

Currently, the backwater is at 90.8 feet.
