Gospel Temple M. B. Church to celebrate 102 years
Due to the Covid pandemic, Gospel Temple M. B. Church Family had to postpone the CENTENNIAL commemorating the church’s 100th Year Anniversary in 2021. However, we plan to celebrate this momentous occasion, 102 Years, during the week of Monday, February 27, 2023, through Sunday, March 5, 2023. Theme: “Still Here Standing in Jesus Name” Psalm: 126:3, “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”
This celebration will not be complete without You. Whether you are or were a member of Gospel Temple by Letter, Christian Experience or Baptism, a Friend or Neighbor who visited with us, or one whose Family Member attended, we want you to be a part of this joyous occasion. Gospel Temple could not have come this far without God, Faith, and You. Guest speakers for this joyous occasion include some who have very close ties with Gospel Temple, such as one who were Members, a Pastor, or Close Friend, and they are as follow:

Rev. Joseph Michael Ray, the Pastor of Forest Grove Christian Church in Pattison, MS, and the son of the late Rev. Thomas (Bernice) Ray, Sr. was baptized by his father and grew up in Gospel Temple.

Rev. Kemp Burley, the Pastor of Greater Jerusalem Church in Vicksburg, MS, and Fellowship Baptist Church in Lorman, MS has been a dear friend of Gospel Temple for over thirty years.

Rev. J. J. “Fireball” Sampson, the Pastor of New Hope M. B. Church in Georgetown, MS was introduced to Gospel Temple by Rev. Anderson Lee. Gospel Temple was the first church in Mississippi to invite Rev. Sampson to deliver sermons during a revival, and he has been a dear friend to Gospel Temple for over forty years.

Rev. James Jones, the Pastor of Greater St. Marks M. B. Church and Campbell Chapel M. B. Church in Port Gibson, MS and Mt. Israel M. B. Church in Fayette, MS was baptized by Rev. Anderson Lee and grew up in Gospel Temple.

Rev. Joe Harris, Jr., the Pastor of Pleasant Valley M B Church-Hwy 27 in Vicksburg, MS has been a friend to Gospel Temple since visiting during a revival. Gospel Temple was the first church in Mississippi to invite Rev. Harris to deliver a sermon.

Rev. Dr. Robert E. Green, Sr., the Pastor of Mt. Wade M. B. Church in Terry, MS served as Pastor of Gospel Temple after the unexpected death of Rev. Anderson Lee.

Rev. Thomas Ray, Jr., the Pastor of New Gethsemane Baptist Church in Jackson, MS, and the son of the late Rev. Thomas (Bernice) Ray, Sr. was baptized by his father and grew up in Gospel Temple.
