Grace Christian Counseling Center receives $10,000 International Paper Foundation Grant

VICKSBURG, MS  – Grace Christian Counseling Center has been awarded a $10,000 grant from International Paper’s Vicksburg Mill and the International Paper Foundation. Funds will support providing services for those that are uninsured with limited resources.

Grace Christian Counseling Center provides professional counseling and has three office locations in Claiborne, Warren and Madison counties. “With fourteen dedicated counselors, we provide individual, couple, and family counseling to person of all ages who seek assistance with a variety of family, work, emotions, and psychological challenges.

While many people have some form of insurance or personal resources that helps to pay for our services, we have many persons that have little or no resources. We see persons regardless of their financial status, and we use fundraisers, donations, and church support to make up the difference. Those monies are put into the Uninsured Fund. This fund makes it possible to continue to see those with little to no resources.

The International Paper Foundation is one of the ways International Paper strives to reach its vision to be among the most successful, sustainable and responsible companies in the world. Started in 1952, the foundation annually provides millions in grants to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations to address critical needs in the communities where its employees live and work.
