Last week, the neighborhood of Greenbriar was rocked by a shooting that left one man injured. Since then, there has been an arrest made and charges made in connection to the incident.

The suspect, identified as 36-year-old Natasha Blackmoore, turned herself in to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office the day after the shooting, accompanied by her attorney. She was charged with aggravated domestic and faced Justice Court the same day, where Judge James Jefferson set her bail at $10,000. Blackmoore has since been released on bond.

The incident happened just after 10 p.m. on Feb. 20.

“Vicksburg-911 received a call, a family member was transporting a gunshot victim to River Region and requested an ambulance meet them on Highway 27,” said Sheriff Martin Pace.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to the hospital by a family member. The family member met up with an ambulance on Highway 27, at its intersection with Highway 80, which then transported the victim to the hospital. From there, the victim was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound to the upper chest.

When authorities arrived at the scene of the shooting, the suspect had already fled the area.

The victim is still being treated for his gunshot wound at UMMC but the injury is reported to be non-life threatening.
