Grenada man charged with murder of missing Ole Miss student

Authorities in Oxford, Mississippi have made an arrest in connection to the disappearance of Jimmie “Jay” Lee, an Ole Miss student that has been missing since July 8.

Sheldon Timothy Herrington Jr. has been charged with murder in connection to the disappearance of Jay Lee.
Sheldon Timothy Herrington, Jr., 22, of Grenada, has been charged with murder, though police say they have not located Lee’s body.
Oxford Police, in cooperation with the University of Mississippi Police, the Oxford Field Office of the FBI and the state attorney general’s office, have been investigating Lee’s disappearance since he was last seen two weeks ago at Campus Walk apartments.
Lee’s 2014 Ford Fusion was found at a towing company three days after his disappearance, which led investigators to believe he may have been visiting someone.
On July 13, Lee’s father posted an emotional plea for anyone with information of Lee’s whereabouts to come forward.
