Warren Central athletes Joshua Griffin and Jane Hopson were awarded the Male and Female Athlete of the Year Award.
The two received their awards at Warren Central’s athletic banquet, where Josh Morgan announced the winners.
Hopson, a senior who dominated in multiple sports including tennis and volleyball, was happy to be rewarded for her accomplishments and dedication to her teams. She also won the Female Scholar Athlete of the Year Award.
Griffin, a senior who excelled in three sports for the Vikings, was a easy selection due to his unstoppable athleticism. He recently won the state championship in track and will be headed to Southern University in Baton Rouge to play football soon.
Both Hopson and Griffin exemplified what it means to be a true Viking, sticking with their teams even through tough battles, and the future looks bright for the two talented student-athletes.
